Trip Advisor Reviews
Exceptional Experience (April 2025)
Just back from riding a bike to base camp Mount Everest! It was the most amazing experience I’ve ever had on 2 wheels.
From start to finish Dave and Leah were incredible organisers with no detail left out. It was both challenging and exhilarating and I cannot recommend RAMS enough for adventure biking. Thank you for an incredible experience!!
Tibet, Top of the World (April 2025)
CThis was my third trip with Rams, having completed Vietnam from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh and Nepal Lowlands. Tibet was a trip I’ve wanted to do for 25 years so when it came up in 2019, I jumped at it, unfortunately a little thing called Covid put an end to that for a couple of years. So, when Dave sent out the replacement in 2024 I was in. As always, the trip starts in Kathmandu which is without doubt a great city and situated in valley surrounded by mountains. Day 3 we set off on our journey which starts off on tarmac but soon descends to some interesting/ challenging broken road. It takes a couple of days to get to the border partly due to the complicated paperwork that the Chinese require pre entry. Luckily with Dave & Leah and some local fixers its seamless from our point of view.
Everest Base Camp (April 2026)
Everest base camp which on anyone’s planet is special as it gets.
The scenery seems to get better and better and of course along the way we get some culture as well with Potala Palace the Dalai Lama’s old winter palace.
If you have to have one special bike trip in your life, then this is it.

Everest Base Camp (April 2026)
Wow Wow Wow a proper boys’ own adventure: a 16 day motorbike ride from Kathmandu via Lhasa to Everestbase camp and back to Kathmandu. Every day was a gem. Geographical, political, architectural, agricultural and riding good bikes on cracking roads. Hairpins, canyons, desert, gravel never a dull moment and epic views.
Dave and Leah’s attention to detail is amazing and means everything runs very smoothly.
I’ve done a few trips and I have to say this was right up there as one of the most exciting, testing and enjoyable. I haven’t stopped smiling since I got back. Motorbikes do seem to bring out the smiles in people both in Nepal and Tibet. A fantastic trip.
I can wholeheartedly recommend it
