The North Coast - Scotland Motorcycle tours our ADVENTURE

The North Coast 500 (NC500), often referred to as Scotland’s Route 66, is one of the most spectacular motorcycle journeys in the world. This unforgettable adventure takes riders through more than 500 miles of breathtaking Highland scenery, combining dramatic coastlines, towering mountains, ancient castles, hidden glens, and some of the finest riding roads Britain has to offer.

Our journey begins in Dumfries before heading north into the heart of the Highlands, where every day delivers a new landscape and a new adventure. From the mysterious waters of Loch Ness to the rugged cliffs of the north coast, the NC500 showcases Scotland at its wild and untamed best.

For motorcyclists, this route is pure riding heaven. Twisting mountain passes, sweeping coastal roads, and remote single-track sections combine to create a ride that is both challenging and immensely rewarding. Few roads are as iconic as the legendary Bealach na Bà, a dramatic mountain pass with hairpin bends and breathtaking views that rival some of the finest alpine roads in Europe. Along the way, you’ll ride beside sparkling lochs, through ancient pine forests, and across vast open moorlands where red deer often outnumber people

Trip Advisor Reviews

Scotland NC500

RAMS is owned and operated by husband and wife team Dave and Leah Lee. They have the perfect and rare combination of being both relaxed and easy going but with a minute eye for detail and organisation.
Dave plans and leads the rides giving stops for historical points of interest and rests, Leah managed the administrative tasks and drove the support van but she did so much more behind the scenes whilst we were on the bikes.
It is was also a great comfort to see the significant efforts put in to security and safety and to know that Dave is also a very highly qualified paramedic with a substantial kit in the van, fortunately we didn’t need it.

Biking in Scotland along the NC500

My father and I travelled with RAMS Adventures on their 2024 Ireland tour.
I am certain we will join a future tour and indeed apart from myself all the other riders were repeat customers, some several times over.

Scottish bike trip

Our tour included everything in the price except fuel and beer. Literally everything is taken care of by Dave and Leah with quiet efficiency.

An excellent tour company and fantastic tour of Scotland.

NC500

Between them Dave and Leah make the trip very easy for the customer from taking care of tolls, ferry tickets, transporting luggage, providing fresh food and beverages en-route to checking everyone in to the hotels and often even putting the luggage in the rooms before we got off the bikes.
