Welcome to Nepal!

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you are met by our team, who will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in the heart of the city.

The remainder of the day is yours to relax after your journey, unwind at the hotel or explore nearby streets at your leisure. In the evening, we’ll gather for a welcome dinner and introductions.

Overnight: Thamel (1700m)

After a leisurely breakfast, we’ll hold a full trip briefing before heading out for an afternoon cultural tour.

We visit Patan Durbar Square, a UNESCO-listed complex of temples, palaces, and courtyards known for its intricate Newari architecture, traditional Thanka painters, and exquisite brass Buddha sculptures.

We then drive to Swayambhunath, famously known as the “Monkey Temple.” One of Nepal’s oldest and most sacred religious sites, it offers panoramic views over the Kathmandu Valley alongside prayer wheels, shrines, statues, and colourful prayer flags.

Overnight: Thamel (1700m)

Departing Kathmandu, we ride east along the scenic Araniko Highway toward the The Last Resort.

The journey takes us through terraced hillsides, lush valleys, and traditional villages. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at this beautiful riverside retreat nestled in the Bhotekoshi River Gorge.

In the afternoon, we explore Tatopani village, famous for its natural hot springs, the perfect way to relax and rejuvenate. If time allows, we may continue towards the Tibet border for a glimpse into this unique frontier region.

Leaving Tatopani behind, the route climbs away from the dramatic Bhotekoshi Valley and into the rugged hills of Dolakha.

Twisting mountain roads carve their way through remote villages, terraced farmland, and dense forests, revealing ever-changing views of the Himalaya. As the road gains altitude, the towering summit of Gaurishankar dominates the skyline, providing a spectacular backdrop to one of Nepal’s most scenic riding days.

By afternoon, we arrive in the historic hill town of Dolakha, where rich mountain culture, traditional architecture, and panoramic Himalayan vistas await.

Overnight: Dolakha (1700m)

We begin early with a traditional breakfast before riding toward Deurali.

Smooth roads lead us to the famous “Cheese Route,” marking the start of the Lamjura Pass. Along the way, we pass through Jiri, the starting point for Edmund Hilary and Tenzing Norgay during their 1953 Everest ascent.

The ascent takes us through forests of rhododendron and oak until we reach Deurali, a small village nestled between two hills with views toward the sacred Mount Gaurishankar.

Accommodation in Deurali is basic tea house lodging.

Overnight: Deurali (3200m)

We tackle a challenging stretch of road as we climb to Lamjura Pass (3,700m). Weather permitting, we are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic Himalayan views.

From here, we descend to Phaplu in the Solu Khumbu region and settle into a welcoming family-run tea house.

Overnight: Paplhu (2530m)

A shorter riding day allows us to fully appreciate the scenery en route to Patale Bazaar.

After exploring the local market and enjoying regional cuisine, a 30-minute hike brings us to Patale village viewpoint.

Weather permitting, we may see Makalu, Mera Peaks I–III, Chamlang, Kanchenjunga, Everest, Lhotse, Numbur, Kariyalung, Tauche, and Thamserku, an unforgettable Himalayan panorama.

We hope to visit Loreshaw Baba, a local Shamen, who welcomes us with tea and a spectacular view of Everest.

Overnight: Pattale Bazar (2995m)

Enjoy a sunrise over the Himalayas before descending toward the Koshi River.

We ride alongside the river on roads shaped by monsoon landslides, a reminder of Nepal’s raw natural power.

Arrive in Sindhuli, a small market town, where you may relax at the hotel or take a stroll through town.

Overnight: Sindhuli (514m)

Today we ride southeast through rolling countryside toward Chitwan.

Passing through Hetauda and Narayangarh, the landscape gradually flattens as we enter the subtropical plains of the Terai.

We arrive near Chitwan National Park, Nepal’s premier wildlife reserve. Keep an eye out, the famous one-horned rhinoceros is sometimes spotted wandering near to or in the town!

Overnight: Chitwan (415m)

After breakfast, enjoy a full day of jungle activities including:

• Canoe ride along the Rapti River

• Guided nature walk

• Visit to the Elephant Breeding Centre

• Jeep safari

• Traditional Tharu cultural dance performance

A true immersion into Nepal’s wildlife and indigenous culture.

Overnight: Chitwan (415m)

Following a morning village walk, we ride to Gorkha.

Here we explore Gorkha Durbar, birthplace of King Prithvi Narayan Shah, the unifier of modern Nepal. The palace reflects a blend of Hindu and Buddhist influences.

This is also an opportunity to learn about the legendary Gurkha soldiers, renowned worldwide for their bravery and loyalty.

Overnight: Gorkha (490m)

Today’s ride takes us through scenic hill country to Nuwakot.

We explore the historic Nuwakot Durbar Square, an ancient hilltop fortress offering insight into Nepal’s royal and military past, combined with sweeping countryside views. Tonight we stay at the Famous Farm House, perched overlooking the river, rebuilt in 2015 following the devastating earthquake.

Overnight: Nuwakot (1030m)

Our final ride brings us back into the Kathmandu Valley.

As we descend toward the capital, rural landscapes gradually give way to bustling city life.

Tonight we return to Kathmandu for our final evening together.

Overnight: Thamel (1700m)

Today is free for relaxation, shopping, or optional sightseeing.

In the evening, we celebrate our journey with a traditional Nepali farewell dinner featuring authentic cuisine, live music, and cultural performances representing Nepal’s diverse ethnic heritage.

Airport transfers will be arranged approximately three hours prior to your departure from Tribhuvan International Airport.
